EGACE is excited to have added additional sections of classes at the 8:30am and 5:30pm class times to accomodate even more students. 
Space is still available in many classes on campus.
Addtionally, EGACE has classes at Elk Grove Elementary campuses at Charles A. Mack Elementary and Roy Herburger Elementary.  See below for more information.

Foundations of English Language Development

EGACE offers 6 Leveled ESL classes from Pre-Literacy (Level 0) through Advanced (Level 5/6). 
These classes are all in-person on campus at our Geber Road Site. 
Students are placed based on their entry assessment (CASAS) reading score according to NRS Level.
 

Citizenship Preparation Courses

EGACE Offers Two Mutli-Level, In-person Classes
 
Multi-Level Low
Mondays 1:15PM-4:15PM
 
Multi-Level High
Wednesdays 1:15PM-4:15PM
 
These classes prepare students for the U.S. naturalization interview and examination. They include an overview of American history and government, geography, and the duties and rights of citizenship. 
Additonally, students will study basic written and spoken English in a context specific to the naturalization application, interview, and civics questions. 
 
This class is for students of all English levels who are eligible to become U.S. Citizens.

NEW! Multi-Level Class Sections Available

EGACE is excited to offer new class times and formats to better serve our most impacted levels.  To do so, we have added two Multi-Level Classes in the afternoon and a High Level Bridge to HSD/GED class. Students in a regularly leveled course may not take these courses concurrently: 
 
Multi-Level Mid + Burlington English 
This class will meet in person at our Gerber Road site, Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30PM--8:30PM and will include access to Burlington English online learning to supplement in person instruction.
 
Multi-Level Mid + Burlington English--Mack Elementary which is intended for students in the Charles A. Mack Elementary School Community who cannot come to campus for classes.  
This class will meet in person on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30PM-7:30PM and also Tuesday and Thursday 4:30PM-7:30PM  at Charles A. Mack Elementary School and will include access to Burlington English online learning to supplement in person instruction.
 
Multi-Level Mid + Burlington English--Herburger Elementary which is intended for students in the Roy Herburger Elementary School Community who cannot come to campus for classes.  
This class will meet in person on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30PM-7:30PM at Herburger Elementary, and will include access to Burlington English online learning to supplement in person instruction.
ABE/ESL Bridge Class + Canvas  This class is intended for ESL students in levels Intermediate High and Advanced (CASAS 217-238) seeking to transfer to for credit programs such as GED/HSD or Community College.  These classes are offered in two sections for 16 weeks total and are In Person.

This class will focus on building Academic Vocaulary, Academic Writing, as well as Independent Learning/Study Skills They are compatible with the HSD/GED Curriculum.
