Appointments will be scheduled from the registration form list, in order of receipt.

Introduction to Early Childhood Education (ECE)

This course will prepare you to enter ECE college courses and introduce you to immediate employment opportunities.

This introductory course covers early childhood education, including an overview of the history of the field, evolution of professional practices and ethics, educational principals that support child development from birth through the school-age years, and teaching practices based on observation, documentation, and interpretation of children’s behavior.

This 12-week course has 4 hours of in-person instruction and 2 hours of distance learning per week.

English Language Development and Work Skills for the Early Childhood Educator

This course allows English language learners an opportunity to focus on the vocabulary development, reading, writing and communication skills that an Early Childhood Educator will use in the field. This class is coordinated with the material in the Intro to ECE class to accelerate progress for English language learners.

This 12-week course has 1.5 hours of in-person instruction and 1.5 hours of distance learning per week.
